Photo Shoot

When I went back to Utah last month my friend JD took pictures of my best friend Gabrielle and I. He's an amazing photographer! He is very artistic and can turn a random alley into a great place to shoot pictures. It was a blast to spend time with my best friend Gabs and JD one last time before he leaves on his mission.

Palmyra Trip

I just recently took a trip to upstate NY with my boyfriend Mark and some of our friends. It was an amazing experience. It was a quick trip with a lot of driving (12hours total), but totally worth it. We drove up saturday morning, got there in the afternoon, then left Sunday morning. First we went to Joseph Smiths house, then the Sacred grove, then later that night we went to the Hill Camora pageant. I am so grateful to be a part of the church and to have the opportunity to be out East and experience so many great things!

Home Sweet Home

I made a surprise visit to see my family a couple weekends ago. It had been awhile since I had seen them and felt like I needed to be there and spend time with them. I was going to surprise everyone, but found out they were all going to be in Moab that weekend. So I just told my parents and surprised everyone else. Gloria walked in first and was shocked! I could have hugged her all day! Can you tell we are sisters by our unplanned matching outfits? I love her! It was so nice to be home!

The night I flew in my friend Scotty threw a bonfire for me, I hadn't seen these boys since before they left on their missions so it was a lot of fun to see them again and catch up on the past 3yrs!

Me & my best friend Gabrielle! I love her!

Matt & I

JD! My breakfast buddy!

My beautiful mom!

I can't wait to go back and visit everyone again! Love you all!

Boston

A couple weeks ago Nichole and I went to Boston to go to a Red Sox game. We stayed the night at Nichole's grandparents house in Rhode Island Friday night then headed into Boston early the next morning. We met up with my friend Chase who is from SLC, but just recently moved to Boston. We met at the mall there which was huge and Nichole and I instantly fell in love with it! We headed to the game straight from there to beat traffic, which wasn't very successful but it added more adrenaline to the exciting adventure!

Of course being as friendly as Nichole and I are we made friends instantly! The people in front of us were from North Carolina. When they noticed the seats by us were free they moved up to sit by us. The people above us were from Utah. Small world! One was a Yankee fan and was very brave to support his team by wearing his hat! Sitting next to us was Sam, he was our favorite, such a sweetheart! They were all hilarious and made the game a blast!

After the game we got a little tour of Boston. Even though it was dark while we walked around it was beautiful and really fun! I can't wait to go back!

Kings Point Adventure

This past Saturday Jenny and I went to Long Island to hangout with Brock. I drove there for the first time and it really wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. I just hate going over the bridges! Especially the Verrazono, it's really pretty, but it still scares me! We met up with Brock then took the train into Manhattan (mine and Jenny's first train ride into the city). First we met up with Nolan and got the best cupcakes ever! We can always count on him for the best food in the city! Then we got some pizza, can never go wrong with New York pizza!

Next we went to the fountain that was in Enchanted, Jenny and i even threw pennies in and made wishes! It was so pretty, and the weather was really nice so we hung out there for awhile to rest from all the walking we had done!

You never know what you'll see in Central Park, that day we saw a guy singing opera, playing the violin, and dancing around like a maniac, yes, all at the same time! It was VERY entertaining!

After our feet were rested (of course Jenny and I wore the wrong shoes..again) We headed back to Brock's school. He's in the Navy and goes to the US Merchant Marine Academy. He gave us a tour of the campus and we even got to go on the "Toy Boat". Jenny and I were a little disappointed though when we were expecting it to be more like Titanic, but it was still way cool!

We got there right as the sun was setting and it was beautiful!! A perfect ending to a perfect day!

The Latest..

Now that I have weekends off, i've been able to do a lot more out here and it's made being away from home easier since i have something to look forward to during the week. A couple weeks ago i took a trip to Long Island with my friend Krista who use to nanny there. We went to the singles ward there and i met some new friends (and ran into an old childhood friends older brother, small world). The drive there wasn't bad at all, but on the way back we missed a turn and ended up sitting in Manhattan traffic for almost two hours!! It was quite the adventure though!

The next weekend Brock (who i met at the singles ward) and his friend Brad from school came to Jersey to visit for the weekend. The plan was to spend the day at the beach, but of course as soon as we got there it got colder..so we went back to the hotel and went swimming, then went out to eat, then played some football in the parking lot! It was a lot more fun than it sounds haha. Later that night at around 1 am i got a craving for some icecream! None of the girls wanted to go so i went over to the boys' room and Brock was nice enough to take me to get some. Of course and 1am nothing is really open, but luckily Walgreens had a good stock and even had mine and Brocks favorite, cookie dough! It was sooo good! :)

The weekend after that I hung out with Brock again. He took me to a Newark Bears game, which of course was the key to my heart since I LOVE baseball! The lead singer from Lonestar star sang the national anthem, and the crazy lady in front made it very entertaining! She would stand up and say, "Everybody hits" then the whole crowd yelled WHOOO! haha!

After the game we went and saw the movie Fighting, and X-Men. Yes, two action movies with a lot of fights (hence the title). The Fighting movie wasn't bad, but I loved X-Men! Now i just need to watch the rest of the X-Men movies..I'll add them to the list of movies Ian (my employer) wants me to watch :)

Let the games begin!

Ever since Nichole and I moved to Jersey we had an awful habit of going to Applebees and eating triple chocolate meltdowns every time we were stressed (which was a lot) so not only was the cost adding up, but the lbs were too! I've been trying to eat a lot healthier lately and i try to go to the gym at least 5 days a week (gotta get ready for the beach) We discovered tonight that not only is running around kicking a ball on a wet and muddy field tons of fun, but it helps get rid of stress and is WAY healthier than chocolate cake (although we do need that at times). Me, Nichole, and Monika (another nanny from Germany) have declared Thursday nights to be our girls soccer nights-what better way to help get rid of stress than running around kicking a ball in mud? :)

I Love NY

A couple weeks ago my friend Nick and his friend Derrick came out to visit me! It was so much fun! We spent the weekend in NYC with a my other friend Rhisleyne and her cousin. It was the first time the boys have been in the city so naturally we did all the tourist stuff. Empire, Time Square, China town, Little Italy, Central park, etc. Even though it seems like i've done them a million times now it was a blast! The boys were so funny and kept us laughing the whole time! Ay i'm walking here!

By the end of the day our faces were frozen so we had to stretch them out a bit :)

New Yorks finest. ha ha.

Puerto Rico

I went to Puerto Rico for a week with the family i work for. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. Poor little Max got sick the second day we were there, but he was such a trooper! He drank some tap water that didn't agree with his stomach, and teething on top of that was not fun. For him, or us. He had a blast the first day though and he felt better the day we left, thank heavens he wasn't sick on the plane ride back to Jersey!
